Project abstract:
Little is known of an American white pelican's diet preference in the Yakima and Columbia River basin and this three year diet study will fill that knowledge gap. Yakama Nation will use this empirical data to inform managers of predation rates on salmonids and if the development of a basin-wide American white pelican management plan is needed to protect salmon and steelhead through future management actions.
